Tradition broke her dam Flying Winner’s track record when landing the final of the Track Bookmakers Marathon over 1010 yards at Harolds Cross on Friday.

Pat Dalton’s daughter of Droopys Scolari blasted out of the traps and went through the first 525 yards in a flying 28.43sec, which would be one of the fastest times over four bends this year.

She went on to beat Ex-UK runner Ribble Atom by 13 lengths, with TV Trophy winner Ballymac Bonnie back in third, a further length and a half behind.

The time of 56.77sec broke the track record set by the great Flying Winner back in 2008.

The victory followed a great family tradition which saw dam Flying Winner score in 2008 and half-sister Volcano win in 2014.

Ballymac Bonnie’s trainer Liam Dowling gained some consolation when Amanita Chic landed the Deegan Kennel Supplies Gold Collar over 550 yards.

The daughter of Leeview Jet, a 6-1 chance, went clear from the opening turn and scored a six length victory over House Doctor in 30.19sec.
