£80K Turnover at Yarmouth sale

Another very solid sale at Yarmouth Stadium took place yesterday with a turnover in excess of £80,000 recorded.

Fastest of the day was Explosive Queen (Droopys Sydney x Love Honey, May 22) when she set a very smart 28.32 for the 462m trip in Trial 6.

Top lot of the day was the youngest in the card. Droopys Natalie (Coolavanny Hoffa x Droopys Thelma, Jan 23) was impressive in Trial 23 when stopping the clock in 28.78.

She was purchased by Richard Marling and joins the Erica Samuels kennels.  She will certainly be one to watch over the coming months and certainly has hinted what could be for the progeny of Coolavanny Hoffa.

Other notable purchases were Droopys Velocity (Romeo Recruit x Droopys Hunch, Oct 22) who sold for £6200 to the David Dark kennels at Hove, Good Oreo (Droopys Sydney x Billys Diva, Sep 22) who sold for £4800 to the Frank Gray kennels and Easy Player (Ballymac Cashout x Jumeirah Zena, Dec 22) who sold for £4000 and joins Craig Morris.

Overall 43 of the 48 lots were sold.

Nathan Corden said “Our thanks go to Simon Franklin and his team at Yarmouth who made us feel very welcome.  Our sales at Yarmouth have continued to grow each year and this is no exception as the figures were very pleasing.

“It is also good to see that just over 50% of the greyhounds sold yesterday will remain with Yarmouth trainers and will boost their strength.

“It is full speed ahead now for our next sale which will be held at Crayford on Wednesday 15th May.”
