Saturday night gave a further opportunity for prospective Premier Greyhound Racing Judgement Night participants to strut their stuff as the big day draws ever closer.Mr Chelm and Signet Goofy kicked off proceedings for John Mullins, and although Goofy came out on top on this occasion (28.14, +10), Mr Chelm was far from disgraced in being beaten less than two lengths after having his ground taken at the first bend.  Next up was Gain Greyhound Nutrition Gold Cup and Coral Golden Sprint Plate winner Swift Iconic, who accounted for kennelmate Faypoint Angry in 28.18 (+10). In doing so, the flying brindle set a new sectional record of 3.34secs, taking three spots off the old mark. Faypoint Angry battled on well though, and looks one to follow.Kevin Hutton also brought a team along, the highlight of which was Roxholme Duchess, who handed out a nine length beating to kennelmate Forest Roanna over the 660m trip in 40.10 (+15), and who looks a solid contender for the Stayers race.Richard Rees has his squad in decent shape at present, and Whats Up Eva and Droopys Goodtime served up a terrific buckle, with the Coronation Cup semi-finalist getting up by a head in 28.36 (+10). Both are talented bitches. Scooby Duchess arrived in Richard’s kennel last Autumn with a 28.20 Irish Laurels first round success under her belt, and although the three year old is yet to race for new connections, she showed nice early to win her trial in 28.41 (+10). Recent winner of a Hove Cat 3 sprint, Gonzales looked well when stopping the clock in 16.17 (+5) over the 275m trip.
