Magical Houdini (Tyrur Big Mike-Impact Mixture, Sep 16) extended Patrick Janssen’s lead at the head of the Trainers Championship table with an impressive win at Central Park on Sunday night.

The 13-8 second favourite clocked 16.18 (-05) when holding off the impressive King Elvis by half a length to capture the £3,000 first prize.

Although Patrick had been expecting Troy Bella (withdrawn bitten) to be in the line-up, the race went pretty much as he predicted on this site last week.
