Jet Stream Sound (Premier Fantasy-Swift Ash, Nov 12) set a new Henlow 550m track record on Sunday night.

Kevin Hutton’s went to traps as the even money favourite with two wins from eight races on his card (28.47-480m Wimb., 29.75-515m Hove). He took a flyer from the boxes (8.69) before holding off Millbank Steve by a comfortable five lengths in 32.87, some seven spots faster than former kennelmate’s Airport Captain’s previous best.

Under his former name of Highview Triumph, the black had run fifth in this year’s Gold Cup Final at Shelbourne Park.

The meeting also featured the first round of the £5,000 Westmead Hawk Memorial and there inevitably ‘Westmeads’ to the fore. Star of the round was *Westmead Alexis (Droopys Scolari-Westmead Sula) whose 27.22 was just 15 spots off the 460m track record. Litter brother ‘Chris’ was also on the mark in 27.58. The remaining heats went to Cabra Sky (28.02) and Savana Graham (27.56).

*For those who follow bloodlines, Alex and Chris are related to The Hawk via their granddam, and his litter sister, Westmead Swift.
