A brief reminder. . .

Its dog eat dog in the Punters Challenge and only Paul Binks (owners) survived the battle of Central Park. Paul’s £50 nap King Eden won at 3-1, but missed out in the double with Slippy Maska. Net profit £50

Chris Oliver picked Sporting Dave (6-4) but couldn’t find two more for his £25 trixie and is assigned to the dustbin of media tipsters (its actually the size of a landfill). Net loss £100 As for poor old Jason Bloomfield, lets just say he trains them better than he tips them. Net loss £100

So – moving on to Geordieland and the All England Cup, and the Northern Puppy Derby at Newcastle. We hope to have Paul back representing owners in future but tonight we hand a debut appearance to long time owner, Central Park consultant and former Crayford GM, Barry Stanton

Stepping up for the trainers is the locally bred and reared Wooooor Jimmy Fenwick (Wanny Fenwick-Marion Fenwick). For the media, we have the ultimate in smooth commentaries, the one and only Mr Darrell Williams. It is actually a return to the hot seat for the current leader of the RPGTV tipping challenge. For some reason, he found the Gold Collar meeting a bit below him. . . ‘its a bit sprinty’ he sniffed. Fame huh!

And for the bookies, we should have had a ‘Bunny’, but will hopefully be available for next Tuesday’s SKY card from Nottingham. So stepping in as reserve is Towcester’s  Tony Johnston. Like a cheap heater, he can blow hot and cold. . . .

Although we have a few accepted invitations already in the book, we are interested in hearing from anyone who fancies taking part in future punters’s challenges. Get in touch at [email protected]

The rules remain unchanged – the placing of a fictional £100 on the SKY card, singles or multiples. We quote early prices, but make winning calculations based on SP (since the early prices may be spread across different firms).

Full form is below tips

Barry Stanton (Owners)

8:16 – Ballymac Deidre Ran well in the first round was forced wide at the last bend so sure to improve on the time and will run well at the price.
8:51 – Gazilly Shay Could be handy on the outside and take advantage of any trouble the favourite might find from his draw. Will be finishing strong and could be the value.

8:33 – Shellam Delano Cant be opposed with his 40.50 trial and previous around this Track. Confident selection albeit an odds on chance. Could lead all the way
9:08 – Droopys Expert Runs the track exceptionally well and has done nothing wrong in this competition. Got a great draw in this race and could lead at the first and pull away

PUNTING: £20 Win Trixie Ballymac Deirdre (4-1), Gazilly Shay (15-2), Droopys Expert (7-4) – add in Shellam Delano (4-5) for £20 accumulator

Darrell Williams (Media)

Although I was very tempted to put up ‘good thing’ Geelo Monty (7.43) at a shade of odds-on he’s hardly original. So instead, let’s try

7.59 – Cooneen Jack who continues to improve around his local track, has shown excellent consistency at the traps and is over-priced in a lop-sided market.

8:33 Heroic Miss – did me a favour in the GNR heats and while Shellam Delano is never easy to take on at ‘his track’ back in her favoured trap one box she deserves more respect from the layers.

9:08 – Dorotas Vic – An upset looks on the cards in the AEC final with the inside pair drawn the wrong way round. Skywalker Manner is my ante-post ticket and still looks fairly priced given the likelihood of more improvement but Dorotas Vic has the draw (Caislean Fifi will edge in) and gets the vote..

PUNTING: £20 win Cooneen Jack (5-1)  £20 each/way  Heroic Miss (10-1)  £20 win Dorotas Vic  (6-1) £5 win Trixie:

Tony Johnston (bookies)

8.16 – Ballydoyle Maura  was an unlucky, eye catching loser in the heats of the Angel Of the North Oaks. Normally trap six wouldn’t be ideal but in the context of this race could work well for a bitch that has a bright future ahead of her.

9:08 Droopys Expert – has taken the transition from puppy races to all aged company in his imperious stride.Quickest in both rounds of the All England, and winning from the front and behind, the bonus tonight that all important red jacket. My nap of the night

PUNTING £100 win double Ballydoyle Maura (15-8) and Droopys Expert (7-4)

Jimmy Fenwick (Trainer)

7:43 – Geelo Monty: ran well on first visit to track & just off track record, take him to lead and make all.

7:51 – Cooneen Jack: better drawn tonight, good exit from traps have him in front going to bend, trap 1 & 6 are dangers but feel Jack have enough to hold them off.

8:33 – Shellam Delano: Drawn well, trap two, is slow away and wants rails, giving Delano room to get in position he is my nap tonight

8:51 – Roxholme Nidge: Class act, fancy him to blown them away tonight. Trap four is the breakers draw at Newcastle.
PUNTING: £100 win accumulator Geelo Monty (11-10) Cooneen Jack (5-1)  Shellam Delano (4-5) and Roxholme Nidge (4-6)
