Shawfield have filled three Derby trialstakes on Saturday, and despite the fact that they were five-runner events, racing manager Daniel Rankin is convinced that the event will be oversubscribed.

He said: “We decided to give them all a run even if it meant that were a runner short. We also have 26 trialists plus others booked for next Saturday. None of that includes Pat Buckley, who is apparently thinking of coming, over plus at least one other big name Irish trainer who is still to confirm.”
