Re: More than just a graded meeting -60th Yarmouth Championship

What a well written and heart felt article.
Reading it brought a lump to my throat not only because I know Do It For Twiggy and his owners but he pulled my love of greyhound racing that I grew up with back to the surface.

This dog is is the most determined and gutsy dog I have seen in a long time and at five years old show’s the new kids what class and experience are all about.  This race will bring more sentimental support than you knew…..why…. because it will be Do It For Twiggy’s very last race.  He will be taking a very well deserved retirement to go and live with one of his owners John Glen.

So all of his supporters will be willing him to win this race and end his long racing career with the title he has truly earnt and deserves ‘Yarmouth Champion’. A very happy retirement to you Twiggs!!
