Blissful Scolari went quickest of the 70th British Bred Breeders Produce Stakes hopefuls in trials at Swindon on Wednesday.  All on -10 going: 28.70-Blissful Scoari, 28.73-Thinkifdarcy, 28.83-Kind Kid, 28.88-Fearsome Phantom, 29.11-Lowagte Hagrid, 29.42-Anglesey Ger, 29.49-Lowgate Beatrix, 29.71-King Eden, 30.11 Drink Up Bolt

The official session to determine the 72 first round runners takes place on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, Swift Europe continued his dominance of the 509m trip with a 10 length victory in 30.26. His fifth win in his last seven outings (plus two 2nds) was adjusted to 29.96 on a slow track. It was his quickest calculated win to date with all seven times calculated to within 10 spots.

On the graded strength, Britain’s ‘losingmost’ greyhound, the optimistically named Amazing Fella finally broke a 36 race losing sequence with victory in A9 on Wednesday. Clearly the local layers were not lacking faith as they sent him out as the 3-1 second favourite. Terry Kibble’s black skated home – by a head.

On the subject of names – is there any better named greyhound than Swindon grader My Mums Barking.
