Blackrose Rose (Droopys Cain-Dromana Linda, Sep 13) made it six wins and a second from her last seven races with another impressive performance at Henlow on Sunday.
On June 5, Eric Cantillon’s black (4-11f) clocked a 1.68 sectional on her way to a new track record of 25.34 (+10) for the track’s428 metres. On Sunday, the Mini Derby winner equalled the split and looked set to shake her own clock. But an early dual with Mr Stress cost her vital spots and she crossed the line in 25.36 (+10).
Other performances of note included the 33.37 run by Romeo Zulu (Head Bound-Romeo Carmen, Apr 13) for the 550m, his first win since July 2016.
