GBGB are warning trainers to be vigilent for people attempting to gain access to their kennels by arranging bogus kennel inspections.

Senior steward Paul Illingworth said: “It has come to our attention that there are persons inspecting residential kennels claiming to be representing GBGB and Defra

“Whilst GBGB will be outsourcing some residential kennel inspections to a third party, this has not started yet. Any person working for a third party in this way will be issued a GBGB Licence.

“Please remain vigilant and if you are not sure of someone’s credentials, please contact either your area Stipendiary Steward or the GBGB head office.”

More details about the third party inspections will be released in the coming weeks.
