The GBGB has made a number of appointments to its stewarding and sampling department recently. Former investigations officer  for the southern region Jim Snowden has been appointed  Stipendiary Steward   for the South West region , covering Swindon, Poole, Wimbledon and Brighton.

Chris Hufton has been appointed Sampling Officer  for Manchester and the North, covering Belle Vue, Sheffield, Newcastle, Sunderland, Pelaw Grange and Kinsley. Chris is a former policeman who has experience as a police dog handler.

Hayley Huntley, former kennel hand,  and Robert Steward, ex Peterborough deputy racing manager, will take up Sampling  Officer positions on October 1st.

Senior Stipendiary Steward Paul Illingworth said; “A number of vacancies within the GBGB became available following the retirement of long serving GBGB officers and I believe the  appointments made this year will enable us to   continue to carry out our key  functions of welfare and integrity throughout the country. I look forward to working with my new colleagues and I am sure the sport will make them all very welcome.”
