Following his six-timer at Romford on Friday, champion trainer Mark Wallis landed the category two Henlow Maiden Gold Cup on Sunday evening.

Eclipse semi finalist Garryglass Champ (Kinloch Brae-Pennys Lady, Nov 14) reached the 550m final unbeaten and went to traps at 2-1f. First to show was kennelmate Muchas Gracias but a collision at the second bend, where Sawpit Sunshine and Farran Smith both hit the deck, saw the Champ take up the running. He eventually crossed the winning line some four lengths clear of Blackstone Rock in 33.87.

Earlier on the card 4-7f Shlowdown Sally completed a five-timer in the sprint open, Stayer of the Year Ferryforth Fran (2-7f) landed the 692m open and 4-6f Nimrod Son landed the maiden.
