BLAKES TURBO (Droopys Scolari-Lightfoot Molly, Oct 13) stamped his semi final form with victory in the Fengate Collar at Peterborough.

Formerly with Charlie Lister but now handled by Jean Liles, the 25.85 semi winner went to traps at 7-4 for the £2,000 435m decider and again beat Rahyvira Castle, this time by two and a half lengths in 26.22.

The £1,000 stayers final saw a new track record for Kim Robins’ Parkers Poison (Godsend-Swift Venom, Jun 13) who was a length inside Lanrigg Paddy’s previous best.

There was also an 805m clock for Pam Dolby’s Mays Rainbow (Last Bid-Mays Maska, Apr 13) who clocked 50.72.

Local sprint champion Scolari Sound (4-7f) held on by the minimum margin to beat Trapstyle Jet in 15.02 for the 250m.
