Following a successful tipping effort last week with FIVE winners from nine selections (11-4, 4-5, 4-5, 3-1, 8-13) Sheffield Racing Manager Andrew Mascarenhas has marked your card for another nine open events tonight including the finals of the Bresbet British Bred Maiden, the Brinkleys Poet At Stud Young Guns and the Bresbet Steel City Cup.

I can’t see any way that Droopys Dazzler doesn’t win this. I don’t think the draw will bother him. It isn’t a case of him doing something wrong, he would have to do everything wrong and I think Angela Harison will have a good night tonight. 4-5-2

Coolavanny Banni looks a class better than these and should dominate. Asomb Jenny is the obvious danger. 1-5-2

I was really impressed with Duke De Janerio in the first round of the Steel City Cup and he was drawn in an incredibly tough semi. He steps down in class here. I think four will get the better of five early so I have the one to run on for third. 2-4-1

Brynoffa Lloyd didn’t get any sort of run last time out. I don’t know whether he is a hit-and-miss breaker as his recent form might suggest, but if he does trap I can see him winning comfortably. 2-3-5

This is an intriguing one. I am siding with Droopys Biggy who must have left ten lengths on the track last week but at this stage its hard to know whether he is likely to fluff his lines again. But having five railers in a race, particularly with young dogs makes it a race that I would probably leave alone as a punter.6-1-4

Geelo Coney is coming back from injury and on his trials to date would be a bit too quick to grade. Six trialled well but I don’t know whether he is a genuine open class sprinter or not. 3-6-4

I quite like Acomb Hugo to get first run in here with Trickys Rocket the immediate danger, particularly if the two and three impede each other in similar circumstances to last week. 5-6-2

In all honesty this isn’t the highest quality bitch’s open but the draw edges it to Emoskis Girl for me. Barnside Millie has ability but I think she has the worst of the draw. 1-4-6

I fancied Signet Ace to win this before the event started and I am not about to change my mind. It is possible that he breaks better from the middle but even if him and the two were reversed, I would still fancy him. I think the five looks to decent career ahead of him over a longer distance. It is also interesting to see that Kevin has trialed the six at Swindon since the semi finals 1-2-5
