“It was only because I wanted to enter Beyonce, that I thought I might as well take the three pups along, to get them experience for next year’s Produce Stakes.”

The remarkable 15 hours for the McNair Kennel continued when all four of their Queens qualified for the Oaks semi finals with Swindon wins for Queen Dolly and Queen Beyonce with the former clocking the fastest time of the round.

January pup Dolly seized the lead from litter sister Queen Franklin at the first bend and pulled away for a near four length win in 28.05. The third sister Queen Tammy had qualified from the first heat.

The meeting also saw a superb run from Derby semi finalist Queen Beyonce who is returning to form after a lay-off. Despite walking from the boxes, she soon accelerated into an impressive first bend lead. Although she laboured on the run-in, Beyonce’s four length win over Rangefield Lass was the second fastest clocking of the day.

There were surprise defeats for Newcastle raiders Dilly Dilly and Velvet Juliet, who both badly missed their breaks and did well to qualify. Yorkshire Leger finalist Sonic Spur was never going to be caught once leading and duly saw out the round in an impressive 28.14.
