Poole have announced plans to stage the Golden Crest in mid/late June with a £4,000 winner’s prize (see advert right).
General manager Shaun Spencer-Perkins said: “Basically it will be the same terms and conditions as last year and we are hoping that some of the owners will take the opportunity for a few days away by the coast to come and see their dogs run.”
The innovative boss has been looking to attract fans of neighbouring Bournemouth who might be at a wit’s end as the footie season reaches its conclusion.
The dog track advertised to an estimated 56,000 spectators over the last four home matches using the football club’s digivan facility.
Spencer-Perkins added: ” During the summer break we’ll be inviting the Cherries to a team building night at the dogs to help kick start their 2016/17 season. Let’s hope they get the same team building inspiration the Saints did on their visit back in 2006.”
