ARC have penciled in next Monday for the final of the Eclipse meeting after being forced to cancel tonight’s meeting due to a potential frozen circuit.

ARC Head of Racing (Greyhounds) Dave Baldwin said: “We are awaiting confirmation from GBGB but have spoken to all the trainers and next Monday doesn’t present any clashes so hopefully we will get the go-ahead.”

Earlier Baldwin had explained that the track had thawed out overnight but had experienced a sudden drop in temperature and it was felt that by this evening, it would not be safe to race. The meeting was called off early in the afternoon and all attending trainers were advised not to travel.
