Two Maiden finals are the most valuable races on the weekly open race card at Romford on Friday.

Faydas Jet, an impressive winner in the heats last week is fancied to land the Maiden Standard Final over 400 metres.

Heather Dimmock’s runner reached the semi-finals of the Romford Puppy Cup and last week clocked the fastest time in the heats when making all to beat Going Straight by almost four lengths in 24.01sec.

If the Tyrur Big Mike bitch can repeat her 3.66sec split then she will be hard to hold.

Fellow heat winners Pantone Whisper (24.33sec) and Ballymac Micko (24.32sec) look the main threats.

Jelly Flood gets a narrow vote to land the Stayers Maiden Final over 575 metres.

David Mullins’ son of Godsend carried the red jacket to a 35.89sec success and has another good pitch on the fence to work from.

Heather Dimmock’s Hitachi Wayne, who won his heat in a quicker 35.73sec, looks the forecast link
