The Kirby Memorial continues to dominate the headlines at Limerick and this week’s headlines are dominated by Vancouver Shea, courtesy of a fastest-of-round 28.40 – five spots behind his own fastest time of the year. Sprinter supreme Aulton Jet made it 20 wins from 23 outings on the same card.
The Wallis/Murray Cesarewitch moved into its second round at Mulllingar with Vivaro Swift going quickest over the 600 yard course. There was another dominating performance from Maireads Spring in the McCalmont Cup at Kilkenny while Marians Dream caused something of an upset in the Unraced Bitch Stake at Newbridge. Meanwhile Crafty Trivago clocked the fastest time in the Cork Oaks with a 28.35 run for the standard.
Last but not least, a fastest 525 of the year at Enniscorthy for the 18 month old Angry Man.
