The Greyhound Board of Great Britain (GBGB) has introduced a new update to its website today with the launch of the GBGB Owners’ Portal.

The online portal is a dedicated area for registered owners and has been designed to support the important administration involved with greyhound ownership. Through the portal, owners can now receive key updates and information from GBGB and retire their greyhounds using the new online GBGB Retirement Form (‘Green Form’).

Using the online retirement form is the easiest and most convenient way for owners to inform GBGB of their greyhound’s retirement destination. While GBGB transitions to the new online system, it will still accept the physical paper forms if owners would prefer to send them via the post.

Letters have been sent to all registered owners with instructions outlining how they can create and verify their accounts to access the new portal. Over the coming weeks and months, owners can expect to see updates to the portal as it continues to be developed.

Duncan Gibson, GBGB Welfare and Integrity Manager, said:  “Since the inception of our new website in June 2019, we have been continuing to implement changes to help improve communication to all stakeholders and ensure our services are easy to use. Following the launch of the GBGB Trainers’ Portal, we are delighted that the GBGB Owners’ Portal is now live.

“We hope that this will make it easier for owners to view all the greyhounds in their ownership and ensure the retirement process can begin as smoothly as possible. Should owners require further information or any assistance accessing the portal they should not hesitate to get in touch by emailing [email protected].”
