Jaytee Dutch can bridge a 14 year gap for trainer Paul Hennessy by winning the Dublin Coach Juvenile Derby over 525 yards at Harolds Cross on Friday.

Hennessy last won the prestigious annual back in 2001 with Rutland Budgie and in Jaytee Dutch he has an excellent chance of doing it again.

Jaytee Dutch has only tasted defeat once at Harolds Cross and that was in the quarter finals when unluckily beaten a length by the fast but eliminated Lenson Panda in 28.44sec.

He is the only wide runner and very strong from halfway and should hold too many guns for his opponents.

Ian Reilly, who has won this event previously with Droopys Brooklyn, Droopys Cahill and last year with Quietly provides the main danger with Hee Haws Sheriff.

Sheriff, who has won two of his four races in the event so far, made Jaytee Dutch pull out all the stops last week from the same trap one and could set another scorching pace.

John Tuohy’s Trade Freddie came from last to finish second to Black Alder last week and if it becomes messy he will be right there.

Pat Guilfoyle’s Skywalker Archie has won two of his four preliminary races and boasts a best time of 28.67sec.

Liam Dowling’s Anopheles has won once during the event clocking 28.85sec in the second round but is improving and was only beaten half a length by Jaytee Dutch last week.

Black Alder landed the other semi-final in 28.67sec and is the most experienced runner in the line-up.
