Slippery Snowy put down a marker for the forthcoming Derby when landing the Gain Feeds Open 550 at Shelbourne on Saturday. Larry Dunne’s runner pulled clear from halfway to beat fast Tralee winner Secreto by four lengths in a slick 29.60sec.
Marie Gilbert’s Swords Ace was a trap to line winner of the Doire Construction 550 when beating Burgess Four by two lengths in 29.80sec. Murt Leahy’s Lemon Elgrand was soon clear in the Doire Construction A1 Final over 525 yards and held the late challenge of Graham Holland’s Glenbuck Bill by a head in 28.53sec.
