We had an email yesterday afternoon which read: “As usual the tipsters don’t mention the real rising star at Romford tonight. Never ceases to amaze me that a pundit can’t read a card. Well tonight Punk Rock Doll will come of age , smashed in from 100/30 to 5/4 in a couple of hours . Did the punters know something the pundits didn’t ???”

Punt Rock Doll returned at 5-4f and won by three lengths!

As for our Romford trio: Mark Wallis £29.23 profit. At Nottingham, Terry Urquhart turned a £50 profit.

Jason Gander (-100), Nathan Hunt (-£100) Alan Bellis (-£100) and Mark Pierrepont (-£100) spent Saturday morning Googling the word ‘Winner’

Bernard Rogers and Pete Richards clearly have thick skins after last week’s abysmal efforts. The shrewd money this week would be on Shirley with her own tipping strategy.

A really good card tonight for RPGTV viewers with some really nice dogs on show. Picking in complete confidence wasn’t easy at all. On Tuesday the tactics were “All the eggs in one basket” so let’s go all in again.

I’m going with Southwind Aero (R12 T1) for Dean Fretwell. Well beaten by Some News who he takes on again tonight I’ve a feeling he can turn the form around with that greyhound. The reason being the make up of the race. Tonight the selection finds himself back in his favourite red vest while Some News is berthed further out. Some News has good early but tonight his early pace will be tested. Jaguar Blake (T2) and Sharpys Jimmy (T5) can both show smart early speed. Southwind Aero on the other hand is usually slowly away which tonight could help him. He’s a very strong runner and from tonight’s location he will be able to let the race develop, pick his gaps and swoop late. One bet, one winner. £100 win

Tonight’s card is very competitive and looks a very good night for racing. I have a few selections tonight but picked a total of three to bet.

My first selection is Kowloon Pricey (R3 T2). This nicely positioned dog looks to have a good makeup with the T1 being quick away from the boxes. If he can sit behind this going into the bend he should come home strong to win. £30 Win.

My second selection is Glory Millie (R6 T2). Looking back though her previous races at Sheffield this bitch has some very strong runs and with a chance to lead on the inside, she should have every chance to reproduce one of them times. £30 win.

My final selection is Mask of Zorro (R10 T5). This dog hasn’t had the chance to lead in his last few races but tonight looks a different story. If he can lead the field I think he will be hard to beat. £30 win.

I would also place a £10 Treble on these selections for a bit of value.
