There will be no pre-qualifying trials for the 74th Two Year Old British Bred Produce Stakes at Swindon which closed today.

GM Peter Geeves said: “There have been significant issues with the post locally so we are allowing until tomorrow morning’s post for any last minute entries. But it is almost certain that we will still be under the 72 entries.”

As such the first round will take place on Saturday morning September 5.

Storm Francis did its best to ruin a well prepared Swindon racing surface on Tuesday morning as a number of Produce Stakes probable attempted to overcome the boggy conditions.

Bob Smith’s Amka Rofe (Blackstone Marco-Ardjeff Lady, Feb 18) and Kim Billingham’s Deeteedee Viper (Holdem Spy-Sober Cindy, Apr 18) and Afan Hunkster (Oscar Whisky-Voltair Mistie, Jun 18) produced the pick of the performances.
