Sheffield have opted to cancel any possible publicly attended events until the end of the year.
A statement from Venue Director Dave Perry reads: “Due to the current restrictions and to keep everyone as safe as possible we have taken the decision to cancel all our planned events to the public for 2020 (racing will continue behind closed doors throughout).
“Taking into account the fact that any decision by the Government will not be made until 16th December and with the restrictions of the tier system, we would be severely restricted in being able to accommodate you all.
“We will, however, be back as soon as restrictions allow and we would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your family seasons greetings and most of all, stay safe during this festive period.
“We look forward to welcoming you back in 2021.”
