After Milo is an extremely versatile and consistent performer for Belle Vue trainer Joy Andrews. The September 2011 son of dual Derby winner Westmead Hawk and Little Impulse showed his talents again at the Manchester circuit on Saturday when he completed a four-timer in the track’s “Main Event.”

Hurdles were the feature in the showpiece this time around and After Milo strode out well after taking up the running with a good leap over the third obstacle and he went on to win by two and a half lengths in 28.75 for the 470 metres – the fastest time of the year.

That success came on the back of two victories over 590 and one over 670 on the flat (fastest of the year) and the dog’s strike rate at “The Zoo” is 50 per cent, with 17 victories coming from 34 starts.
