Slippy Maska (Kinloch Brae-Mays Maska, Apr 15) made it two from two over the Ladbrokes Golden Jacket course and distance with another impressive victory in a trialstake on Saturday evening.
Hazel Kemp’s brindle (T2 7-4) trapped well but then appeared to be bowing to the inevitable when Kent St Leger winner Jimbobjoe (T3 4-6f) took up the running. But Maska stuck to her task and eventually reeled in the leader for a three quarter length victory in 45.32 (+30). Her previous victory was in 45.28 (+60). Jimbobjoe’s Leger winning run was timed at 45.60 (N). Last night’s other trialstake went to Risky Rumble in 46.79.
