IRISH PERFORMANCES OF THE WEEK

Sometimes it is hard to find an outstanding performance at a track; sometimes there are several. A great example is at Cork where Kilmonney Nala clocked the fastest time in the Supersprint semis, Aulton Jet won for the 18^th time in his last 20 races but the nod went to Ballymac Sarahjo’s fastest 525 of the year.

There were a string of others producing best 2017 times for the standard distance including Nutri Bullet at Dundalk, Ballybough Dad at Kilkenny, Sandy Recruit at Longford, Droopys Magician at Newbridge and Emers Twirl at Thurles

There was some sibling rivalry at Drumbo where Whistling Brandy’s 28.73 earned the edge over Whistling Mall’s 28.91. Enniscorthy staged their first sprint of the year though Rathsilla Messi’s winning time put him among the quickest three times in all of 2016. Meanwhile at Lifford, Homeless Darkie added the ‘fastest 550’ to a similar achievement over the 575 yard trip.
