The big news in Ireland was the elimination at the semi final stage of the first two in the Boylesports Irish Derby betting, De Lahdedah and Coolavanny Hoffa who went in the same race. It was won by Jennifer O’Donnell’s fastest quarter final winner The Other Kobe. The first semi final went to Pat Guilfoyle’s Music Glideaway.

At Clonmel, the Holland kennel appear to have another bright young star on their hands in 17 month old Brideside Harvey who clocked a spectacular 28.30 at Clonmel on Friday night. While kennelmate Jacktavern Bolt was hugely impressive in the first round of the Kasco Stake at Cork.
Droopys Have It (2-1) turned over her more fancied Droopys Beta (4-5f) in a €5K bitch’s final at Kilkenny.
