Clonmel racegoers had the opportunity to witness a potential future superstar in action as Newinn Session landed the Rural Hawaii @ Stud Unraced with a stunning 28.61 victory on Saturday night. Litter brother Doolin Duke was fourth in the same race.
Once again this week, the weather had played havoc with the form, but on comparison basis alone, Bonzo Burko’s 28.72 run at Galway is certainly worth further scrutiny.
We concentrate a lot on younger dogs, but it is interesting to note the number of older dogs still in training. A good example is Powerful Boy, closer to his fifth birthday than his fourth but one of three 2015 whelps to have won at Mullingar in a single meeting last week, and also the fastest of the 20 525 yard winners
