At Dundalk the brilliant Cabra Hurricane was just eight spots outside Droopys Steel’s 400 yard clock in the third round of the Irish Sprint Cup. At Newbridge, Burgess Sarah was just six spots quicker than sister Burgess Lucia in the respective semi final of the unraced bitch stake.
Food To Go was only the fourth fastest over Cork’s 525 yards on Saturday, but it was still quite a run for a 21 months old pup. In terms of puppy action, there was some great action in an unraced stake, though the nomination goes to Peter Cronin’s El Juan who clocked 28.68 in his sixth race.
