Toolmaker Scot’s 28.17 in Drumbo’s biggest race of the year also produced the fastest 525 in almost two and a half years. Airmount Tess already held the Shelbourne ‘FOY’ run and went even quicker in the Open 750 final on Saturday.
The ‘under the radar’ performance of the week came from Princess Scampie at Youghal – her 17.45 fastest-of-year sprint was actually recorded on going rated .20 slow.
