This year’s Gymcrack will be worth £8,000 to the winner, an increase of £2,000 on Mill Jonson’s prize money haul last year.
Although the Kinsley event is effectively now a Category One event, it cannot be given that status due to the fact that this year’s event was previously scheduled ‘Cat 2’. However it will revert to the higher status from 2016.
In a move that may become a trend setter, the winning trainer will receive £1,000, and in acknowledgement to falling breeding numbers, the winning breeder will collect £500.
