The Greyhound Trust Lottery has got off to a flying start with over 600 sign ups within a few weeks of the launch and Lisa Morris, CEO of The Trust,  has high hopes that those figures will swell in the weeks leading up to the first draw in April.

She said: “It has been a very encouraging start and we are looking forward to building on that. In just a few weeks since launch, the Greyhound Trust Lottery has had over 600 sign ups and we are on target to hit 1,500 members by the time we get to the first draw – it’s exciting times for us.

“Having a dependable supply of funds allows for much greater planning and will also assist in the creation, and maintenance, of our new purpose built homing centre in Horley, securing the future of the Greyhound Trust for years to come,” she added.

The lottery is a £10 per month direct debit (up to a maximum of five entries) and players will have the chance to win prizes of £5,000, £2,000 and ten £100 pay-outs. In addition, the lottery will operate a rollover which can take the potential monthly prize pot to £25,000.

Additionally, all players who sign up will receive a free gift in the shape of a Gourmet Society membership (worth £79.99), which qualifies the holder to up to 50 per cent off food and drink in over 7,000 restaurants as well as discounts on cinema tickets.
