Monmore’s Dog of the Month for January was Tudor Dynasty (Take The Crown-Borna Empress, Apr 15) owned by Tony and Alan Newitt. The Pat Curtin trained pup won three of his four races – A6, A4, A3 (he has actually won again in early Feb) and looks destined for a stayers career when he is a little older.
Bitch of the Month was Droopys Iggy (Tullymurry Act-Droopys Twirl, Sep 14), owned by the Teachers Pet Syndicate. The black went to traps on five occasions and won four A7, A6, A6, A5 collecting prize money of exactly £500.
