Elaine Parker’s blue beat Catrigg Croft (2 1/2l) in a personal best of 27.64. Litter brother Coolavanny Rebel extended his winning sequence over course and distance to five from six with a 27.84 run in the opening qualifier. Swift Root (1 1/2l) was second.
The Parker kennel were denied a clean sweep in the event when favourite Lightfoot Scolar was beaten into third place behind Steve Race’s 27.94 winner Ballymac Bobbyjo. Clonkeen Snowy was second (3/4l).
