18:09 – 480M
OHTHEREORLAITH & BALLYREGAN SOCKS faced off last week with only a length between them but it was OHTHEREORLAITH from 3 who impressed me more and if able to get a soft lead and a clear run can land this.
The bookends of PEAKY NEWSBOY in 1 and GIZMO WEEJAY in 6 are both young local graders but each present their own chance and are worth adding to the syndicate to maximise our chances of progression in this opening leg.
Selections: PEAKY NEWSBOY (1), OHTHEREORLAITH (3), GIZMO WEEJAY (6)

18:28 – 642M
COURTS AD DARCY might be able to lead but I’m not sure he will be able to hold off a few in tricky this field.
ROCKMOUNT POWER and DROOPYS BIRD are, I think, capable of picking him up and the latter set a decent time in a trial at Towcester over 4 bends, which suggests that he comes here in good form.
TROY SEATTLE shapes as though this trip will suit.
Selections: COURTS AD DARCEY (1), ROCKMOUNT POWER (2), DROOPYS BIRD (3), TROY SEATTLE (6)

18:43 – 265M
SPORTING DYNASTY was well backed last week and won well enough to suggest that he should confirm placing, likely alongside BALLYDORGAN DES in 1 and MELODYS JACK in 2 who re-oppose from the same traps.

The one concern this time is that NANS TOM is drawn in 5 so there’s more chance of trouble on the run up, so I’d play the trio from last week again.
Selections: BALLYDORGAN DES (1), MELODYS JACK (2), SPORTING DYNASTY (4)

18:58 – 265M
Another sprint and KENTON TEN in 5 should be the answer, although will probably need to step up on his comeback trial.

LOGGIES LITO in 3 missed the kick on British debut at Towcester but, if pinging the lids, could be the next best on offer.
Selections: LOGGIES LITO (3), KENTON TEN (5)

19:18 – 480M
DISTANT TAILOR in 2 is the most likely winner but will have to stay true from his draw. Any mistake might be manageable but KILARA HERCULES in 6 should enjoy a solo out wide and, despite no recent look round, he shapes as though he’ll be well suited to this test so warrants inclusion in our Syndicate as well.
Selections: DISTANT TAILOR (2), KILARA HERCULES (6)

19:36 – 480M Hurdle
ROXHOLME BISCUIT will be a short price to land this and while I’m often keen to take on short priced hurdlers, especially so in the depth of race he faces here, on this occasion I’m happy enough to keep the lines down. Although I could make a case for DROOPYS CRUISER, LENSON WILSON & NOMANSLAND FLYER if we’re suggesting the favourite might not get it all his own way but, in this instance, I’ll keep faith in him.
Selections: ROXHOLME BISCUIT (5)

19:56 – 500M
Number 5, FOREST ALAN, is another orange jacket who should be a warm order to take this and again I’m happy to play just him. The huge concern is the draw, having won from 1 last week, but he’s versatile from the traps so should still win this.
Selections: FOREST ALAN (5)

20:17 – 642M
A fairly open looking race but I’d whittle it down to LEAVE THIS TOWN, MINSTRELS TOWN and UNLIKELY ROGUE quite quickly.

The former is a recent course and distance open winner so has to be on the slip but MINSTRELS TOWN and UNLIKELY ROGUE are both capable of picking up the pieces if the red jacket doesn’t make the most of his ideal draw.
Selections: LEAVE THIS TOWN (1), MINSTRELS TOWN (2), UNLIKELY ROGUE (5)
