Bobsleigh Dream made it win number 18 of a superb track career as she completed an unbeaten run through the RPGTV Irish Cesarewitch 600.  The February 2020 daughter of Droopys Sydney and Bobsleigh Jet was dominant throughout the competition with a missed break first round winning effort in a time of 3359 (-70) followed up with a semi final winning performance in 3304 (-70).  As to be expected one of the leading bitches of her generation and trained by the equally adept Buckley team saved her best for last with an always led final effort where she crossed the finish line in 3279 (-60) and some 7 lengths clear of her nearest rival Jacktavern Bella with the run being just half a length off the October 2020 track record of Meenagh Miracle.
I spoke with a jubilant Emma Buckley who told me “She’s absolutely bouncing today and you’d never really know she’s had a run yesterday.  That’s her barking in the background now she’s a yapper and always wants attention but she is an absolute dream.  She saved her very best for the final and to be quite honest was flawless we really couldn’t have asked for anymore”.

Quizzed on her next target Emma told me “The Shelbourne 600 is an obvious next step in a couple of weeks but in between she’ll have a well earned rest.  Beyond that plans are fluid we’ll see”.
The English Derby would usually be well on the horizon for team Buckley but there was a well documented difference of opinions during last years event and the team had remained firm until now that they would be having a break from the Derby this year.  In a TV interview on Sunday however Pat Buckley seemed to soften a little and although there are very far from certain plans to attend there were most certainly mooting’s of owners wishes coming into play.  Emma told me “We’d not want to put anybody away most certainly not anybody thinking about playing in the ante post markets.  My dad and the owners will ultimately do what they believe right for themselves and most importantly the dogs.  We’ve been pleased to see work being carried out at the track and we’re led to believe a new set of traps will be fitted very soon.  All I can say is we will keep an eye on the situation and go from there.  We’ve no doubt that Kevin Boothby and his team only want what’s best for the dogs and all concerned and I’ve made this point regularly on TV”.
