There was a turn-up in the Bar One Racing Irish Sprint Cup over 400 yards at Dundalk on Sunday when 8-1 chance Slipalong Hero obliged.
Trained by coursing genius Gerry Holian, the son of Gold Slipalong got up close home to deny John McGee’s Hillcroft Hero by a head in 21.31sec.
Trinity Forest, unbeaten up to the final, finished fifth.
