Forest Twilight set a new Towcester 485m track record in the semi finals of the Lowther Stakes and was rewarded with a trap one draw for Saturday’s final.
Hayley Keightley’s black clcoked the night’s fastest sectional (4.03) on the way to a seven length win over Queen Asia in 27.72, 12 spots inside Domino Storm’s previous best.
Mrs Keightley was denied a double by the old record holder. Storm was never headed as she came home three clear of Roxholme Dream in 27.93.
Locally trained Coolavanny Slip caught Evanta Evita by neck in 28.15 in the other qualifier.
