There is only one place to start this week with the two semi finals of the Boylesports Irish Derby from Shelbourne Park. The quicker of the two, Good News is also one of Dublin’s most consistent ‘clockers’ his four wins from seven races over the Derby course being times between 29.44 and 29.59.
Black Farren has five wins from ten races over c&d and his 29.63 was the quickest to date.
Elsewhere Man Twenty One produced his performance of the event to win the Texacloth Juvenile at Newbridge. Berkey went quickest in the Kilkenny Derby heats but the nod goes to March puppy Bull Run Button in a supporting stake.
Lochdara Jet produced a FOY for Enniscorthy’s 600yds, James Boy did something similar for the Longford sprint.
Occasionally it is impossible to split two performances and such is the case this week at Dundalk with youngsters Friday Zeus and Exiles Gift each getting the nod.
