According to a report in the South London Press, Galliard Homes plans to develop the greyhound stadium site for housing and football ground, have been rejected by the Greater London Authority – though they apparently offer some remedies according to the AFC-friendly journal.
The GLA are THE key players in the redevelopment plan as they, not Merton Council, have ultimate authority on the decision.
The SLP claims Boris Johnson’s office have objected to the plan on six different grounds.
The decision follows objections to the plan from the Environment Agency, Transport For London, and Sport England.
