With Dublin racing out of the equation, Garryvoe Bobby (Knockglass Billy-Vickis Dream, Jun 14) completed a successful raid on the Calne Racing Arc on Wednesday night.

Drawn red and unbeaten in the event, the Graham Holland trained runner went to traps as the 11-10f and the race unfolded as follows:

The winner’s time was the second fastest of the nine deciders staged at Swindon, bettered only by Shaneboy Alley’s 28.18 in 2013.

The supporting 509m final went to one of the three Kevin Hutton trained runners, Empress Katie (Tullymurry Act-Live Queen, May 15). The litter sister to leading ‘Three Steps’ fancy Droopys Live, the 5-1 chance also went from red in the £1,500-to-winner event.

The meeting featured a rare dead heat between Castel Henry and Tywald Baz plus the second fastest run ever over the 737m course by Huarache Madison with a 44.71 victory. (Ballymac Swift TR is 44.29).
