SUNDERLAND team leader Sam Linley gave his rivals a chance to go out with a bang prior to some squad rotation next week. Sadly neither Chris Leeson or Krista McNicholas were able to take it. As for Sam, one winner from three but an overall loss of £23.64.
Thank God for YARMOUTH. Nigel Cash Machine Tanner would save us surely? ‘Sorry. We are unable to complete your request. Please speak to branch for details’. NO!! Yes it is true. His feet are made of clay after all. Big Zero for Nige. Captain Sensible Liam Aspin got away with a £50 at evens winner for a break even night. Which all leaves Craig Samuels. By his standards it was a poor night. He won £195 on debut. In this, his second appearance, he went £100 all-in on 7-4 chance for a £175 profit. We have a new legend! Nigel who?
NEWCASTLE
Mark Cranston has dropped out leaving three of the trio of trainers who flopped so badly on Tuesday. The Newcastle paddock should be interesting for the next few days.

Look Like Power (R9 T1) Great draw in red Jacket, Trap 5 likely Leader here but think Brucie can turn in handy pitch and stay best £100 win
Catunda Prince (R12 T2) Has enough to lead from start to finish £25
Droopys Creator (R11 T6) Ran well last week and will continue £25 win
PERRY BARR
You would be making a decent profit following Robert Short over the last couple of Thursdays.

Castell Stevie (R4 T1) This is a very good A1 race, Moyar Hero (who won for me last week) is a fast improving dog and I’m a bit loathe to desert him, Dun Emer Duke is ( I think ) John Lambe’s “Derby Dog”, but looking at the draw tonight I think the early paced Follow The Bubba could easily be a thorn in the side to those two, so I’ve chosen Castell Stevie to hopefully scoot around the first bend and hold on for victory; £50 win.
Sporting Daniel (R12 T4) On first look the one win from fifteen attempts is worrying, however, this still young dog has been highly tried several times and I think this A2 will see him double his tally. Not a natural trapper but his 16.57 first look at this track in a sprint trial ( only his second official trial anywhere) tells you of his ability; £50 win

One of my own here, Castell Stevie (R4 T1) who started off to be a very frustrating purchase. We’re on top of him now and he’s done some flying runs over 225 & 275m, he’s adapted to the 480’s very well by winning his last couple easy enough. £45
Lagile Maddison (R11 T3), one for the john Lambe camp, here ex Peterborough raider who looks more than capable of winning this race tonight. Has a scintillating 26:07 at Peterborough on the card and if repeated that sort of run will take the beating for sure. £45 win £10 double
Good Force (R3 T2) He was narrowly denied by trap 3 last week but ran well to finish as close as he did after finding trouble early on. He has good Irish form and is more than capable of winning an A1 around here. Traps 1 and 3 should be out and gone early so hopefully that will give him a trouble free run in behind. £50 win
Westland Ruby (R7 T3) She doesn’t look to quite stay this 480 distance but she’s been running consistently, having only been beaten a short head in her last two races. I thought she looked certain to lead this race tonight and hopefully builds up a big enough lead to see her home. £30 win
