Steve Anderson emerged as the Brain of Brough after making a £100 profit at NEWCASTLE on Friday (Bramble Chaos £50 @ 3-1). Jimmy Wright picked two short priced winners and came out with a £40.67 profit. Wor Jimmy Fenwick will be walking around the Newcastle paddock wearing a false beard for the next days.

Robert Short should have won again (!) at PERRY BARR with his own Castell Stevie winning at 10-11 – to £45. The problem was, Robert was getting a bit flash with a £10 double and the second leg got beat resulting in a £14.09 loss. Paul Gebhard on the other hand, also went with Stevie (for £50) but also couldn’t back it up so ended with a £4.55 loss. (An awkward accolade – best of the losers! Would be familiar to a Crystal Palace fan) Hannah Prince doesn’t want to talk about Thursday night. So be sure to ask her!

NOTTINGHAM

Not sure we have ever had such an abysmal night as on Monday with one runner letting down all three tipsters. But we don’t need to dwell on the past, providing this trio buck their ideas up. Oh yes – and one particular tipster has been mouthing off about how easy it is to pick winners at Nottingham. Be sure to check in tomorrow!

Somermead Guest (R5 T6) Barry Denby’s bitch is running out of her skin, winning 3 out of 5 in A1 class since comeback. She’s improving with each outing.  This bitch hit 4 year old in April but shows no signs of slowing up and has been giving some of the best dogs on the track a start and a beating lately.  In a race where crowding upfront is far from inconceivable she can bide her time before powering home from the third bend onwards and get there when it matters £50 win.
Plaza Lep (R10 T3) Lynn Cooks 2019 Eclipse finalist was beaten on comeback a couple of weeks ago but showed up well for a long way before looking in need of the race against some more forward rivals.  Has since recorded an excellent 2861 (-10) over tonight’s course and distance in a solo trial and though he faces two greyhounds who back run him last time out in the shape of Honour Goldikova and Loher Honey , I expect him to be much more forward this time around and with a slightly better break I expect him to make all £50 win

Peter Harnden

Waltham Queen (R7 T3) Looked much more like her old self in her most recent sprint trial , recording 1791 when coming from behind kennel mate Hopalong Eleni and doing some eye catching running all the way to the pick up.  Downgrade can only help too and can take this A3 before moving on to better things £50 win.

Worth The Wait (R8 T3) Just about one of the worst races I’ve ever seen staged at Nottingham.  The selection is no great shakes but should be coming to some form at any time being bang on 17 weeks out of season and looks well drawn for a nice run £50 win

Alan Bellis

Corrin Tess (R1 T4) got no kind of run last time out but should find herself in a much better position early on this time around and can prove best for trainer Adrian McPherson £30 win.

Lily Tiger Rose (R4 T3) Margaret Roberts bitch unlucky last time out when encountering all kinds of trouble throughout.  Looks set for a much clearer passage this evening and is the best bet on the card  £70 win

ROMFORD

Sticking with the four again – they seem to be operating a pair of dodgy wrestling tag teams. Binks/Wallis won last time out, Gander/Hunt the previous week. Nathan insists he is still in front. In the words of Brick Top “You’re on thin fucking ice my pedigree chums”

Seaglass Shadow (R5 T5) This super consistent bitch ran really well last week as she does most weeks, she is a natural trapper and just knows how to get off the front and hold on around Romford. She won from a poor draw last week and will definitely move in from 5 but luckily for her the dog in 4 has shown the same trait of going rails so shadow should have all the room in the world to turn the first with the all important lead and not see another rival £100 win
Nathan Hunt

Signet Mafia (R8 T5) Has moved well in trials at Romford showing lovely pace to the third bend. Decent draw tonight. £50 win.

Gentle Jet (R10 T6) Beaten by Golden Sprint winner in trap 1 last week but made up a lot of ground on him after being pushed wide around the first 2 bends. When he gets it right he’s a very fast dog. £50 win.
Paul Binks
Signet Mafia (R8 T5) looks a really nice pup for Kevin Hutton and I can see him having plenty of room in the 8.17 with a railer inside him and winning well on debut. £60 win
Goldies Hoddle (R10 T1) won really well last week and I see no reason why he can’t also win tonight in the standard final from a nice draw in red. £40 win
Mark Wallis
We have six runners tonight and for a variety of reasons, I think we will struggle for a winner. Towstar Billy (R3) is bang out of form and we are hoping the change of track may freshen him up. Jesses Sister (R5) has been a bit unlucky in failing to make the bend. If she was to get a ping break, she could cause a surprise, but she is not well drawn and will move to middle giving Seaglass Shadow a lovely clear run. Alien Sea (R9) finds whatever trouble there is and has lengths to find on Desperado Dan and Itsur Mate, who is  running really well. Have A Brandy and Tiffield Boy (R10) are drawn the wrong way around – Brandy will move to middle from the boxes – with the fastest dog in the race looking plotted up in one. Tiffield Maximus (R11) has not come well out of lockdown. He loves racing and is taking his time to find his form. He is also up in class; Bubbly Dudley impressed me last week. I won’t tip other dogs in races where I have runners so I have gone for some 4-1 value with Signature Calum (R4 T5) who can make all. £100 win
