Jo Jo Fantasy set a new track record in the heats of the BIF Produce Stakes over 525 yards at Clonmel on Sunday.
Graham Holland’s runner was soon clear in the last qualifier to score by over nine lengths in 28.18sec, taking five spots off Amzing Dude’s previous best.
Holland was also on the mark with Kirby Memorial beaten-favourite Clares Rocket, who drew clear from the opening turn in heat eight to score by eight lengths in 28.25sec.
Another big performance came form Brendan Matthews’ Slipalong Champ in heat four when making all to beat Skywalker Luke by two and a half lengths in 28.25sec.
Owen McKenna’s Juvenile Classic winner Escapism was a ten length winner of heat six in 28.38sec, while Dolores Ruth’s Razldazl Tierna was never headed in heat seven to record 28.40sec.
John McGee’s Skywalker Gail clocked 28.43sec in heat nine while Munster Juvenile Cup winner Eightythreelarch clocked 28.66sec in the following heat.
Other notable winners were Pat Buckley’s Irish Cesarewitch winner Droopys Acrobat, who did 28.75sec, and Juvenile Derby winner Anopheles who recorded 28.82sec.
