Secreto clocked the fastest time in the second round of the Kerry Agribusiness St Leger over 550 yards at Limerick on Saturday.

Mossie O’Connor’s runner was slowly away but dropped on the rails and avoided trouble at the first turn.

He flew down the back straight and hit the front at the third turn to eventually beat Jaytee Valencia by four and a half lengths in a slick 29.32sec.

Munster Derby winner Scooby The Star landed the opening heat when leading at halfway to hold Country Legend by half a length in 29.74sec.

Niall Dunne’s Minor Bound was an impressive winner of the second heat when leading at the opening turn to score a three and a half length victory over Painstown Chief in 29.58sec.

 

Neilus O’Connell’s Razldazl Rubin was a trap to line winner of the third qualifier when scoring a four length victory over Believe in 29.64sec.

Owen McKenna’s Offshore Bound was a seven length winner of the fourth qualifier when leading off the second turn to beat Baltovin Leo in 29.60sec.

P.J. Fahy’s Tyrur Tommy overcame a slow start in the fifth eliminator to lead off the second turn and hold Extra Spark by a neck in 29.82sec.

Tipperary Cup winner Black Tom was a trap to line winner of the sixth heat when making all the running to hold Skywalker Rory by half a length in 29.80sec.

Peregrine Falcon made it nine wins from his last eleven races when landing heat seven.

Pat O’Brien’s runner was soon clear and went on to slam Deanridge Pennys by eight lengths in 29.62sec.
