Charlie Lister’s Clash Harmonica turned the tables on Westmead Joe in a high quality invitation at Sheffield. The pair had met just over a week earlier when Nick Savva’s Joe had landed the Monmore Gold Cup. But the second favourite came home an easy winner in Yorkshire in 28.97 for the 500m. Before the year was out Harmonica has also won the £8,000 Eclipse and the £10,000 Laurels.
