Swift Hoffman was the star of Shawfield’s Saturday evening trial session when clocking 29.09 (+10) for the Scottish Derby 480m trip.
To put the run into some perspective, local star and 2013 Scottish Derby finalist Greenwell Lark landed her second consecutive open at the track when clocking 29.24.
The night’s other open went to Bowline Bullet in 29.63.
Hoffman’s kennelmate Newinn Yolo ran ‘rls-mid’ when recording 29.21 off an excellent 3.65 sectional (Hoffman’s was 3.74).
Other trialists on the night were: Tyrur Arthur (30.14), Dragon Posse (29.58), Farloe Quest (29.78), Maum Legend (29.71) and Calheme Rover (29.85) – all on +10.
Veteran sprint open winner Nadurra Cormac was fastest over the sprint in 18.12 (+05).
Also trialling were Kneejerkreaction (18.32), Bowline Bolt (18.23), Whatareaction (18.31) and Troika Flow (18.44).
